Permanent residents have free access to government schooling. Some states do offer free schooling for some temporary visa holders, however, many states don’t. 

7. Opportunity to pursue higher education in Australia with access to student loans

Permanent residents in Australia have access to financial assistance through the Higher Education Loans Program (HELP). This means you can go to university now and pay the fees later.
