Residential Painter

The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:

• Prepare and paint interior and exterior surfaces of residential properties, applying protective and decorative coatings to achieve high-quality finishes.
• Prepare residential surfaces including walls, ceilings, doors, windows, trims, and other building areas for painting.
• Clean, scrape, sand, fill, patch, and repair surfaces to achieve a smooth finish.
• Apply primers, sealers, undercoats, paints, varnishes, and protective coatings.
• Measure and mix paints and colours to achieve the required consistency and finish.
• Use brushes, rollers, spray guns, and other painting equipment.
• Perform cutting-in, edging, touch-ups, and finishing work.
• Protect floors, windows, furniture, fixtures, and surrounding areas from paint.
• Inspect completed work for coverage, colour consistency, and quality.
• Maintain painting tools, equipment, and clean work areas.
• Follow workplace health and safety procedures and residential construction standards.
