The successful candidates will need to possess and undertake:
- Preparing, painting, and refinishing truck bodies, trailers, and commercial vehicles to achieve high-quality finishes and long-term surface protection.
- Skilled in removing rough spots, repairing surface imperfections, sanding panels by hand and with power tools, and preparing vehicle surfaces for painting.
- Experienced in masking non-painted areas, colour matching and mixing paints to manufacturer and customer specifications, and applying primers, base coats, and finishing coats using spray-painting equipment.
- Proficient in sanding between coats, performing paint touch-ups, and completing final waxing and polishing to achieve professional finishes.
- Capable of applying signage, decals, and artwork to vehicle bodies, as well as treating surfaces with rust-proofing and protective coatings to prevent corrosion and extend vehicle life.
- Maintains strict adherence to workplace health and safety requirements while ensuring all work meets quality and industry standards.
