The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Responsible for fabricating, assembling, and welding mild steel and galvanised steel products, including fencing systems, gates, frames, posts, rails, brackets, and structural components. Skilled in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications, measuring, cutting, shaping, drilling, grinding, and welding steel materials to precise tolerances and project requirements.
- Experienced in MIG, TIG, and ARC welding, producing high-quality welds and fabricated components for Chainmesh, Garrison, Palisade, and other commercial fencing systems. Proficient in preparing materials for fabrication, galvanising, powder coating, painting, and installation, while carrying out repairs, modifications, and quality inspections to ensure compliance with project and industry standards.
- Operates fabrication equipment, hand tools, and workshop machinery safely and efficiently, maintaining equipment and a clean workshop environment. Provides site-based support for the installation and alignment of fabricated fencing products when required, ensuring components are correctly positioned and secured.
- Maintains strong workplace health and safety practices, works collaboratively with project teams and installers, and contributes to the timely delivery of high-quality fabrication and welding projects.
